"You have the power in the present moment to change limiting beliefs and consciously plant the seed for the future of your choosing. As you change your mind, you change your experience." ~Serge Kahili King
A person’s sense of their personal well-being impacts their overall health and quality of life--sometimes profoundly. While Min on Wellbeing does provide individual services, we have alo chosen to deliver all of our services through both an individual and a group work format. There is a large body of research that overwhelmingly points to the benefits of this method for helping people make changes, learn, develop, and grow. By focusing significant time in our practice to group work, we are able to offer a broad spectrum of timely, high quality programs and professional services focused on advancing well-being, promoting health and wellness, opening creative and learning avenues, and improving quality of life across the lifespan. As well, group work is not only an evidence-based method, but also provides a cost-effective opportunity for our community to access our programs and services.
Individual Coaching and Coaching Groups for health, wellness, and well-being help those who are generally functioning well in other areas of their life to address specific present issues such as establishing and staying on track with lifestyle goals, learning to become a more effective communicator, increasing organizational and time management skills, or tapping into and optimizing personal strengths.
Individual Counseling and Counseling Groups help people work through current problems in their lives and their relationships, while Individual Therapy (sometimes called Psychotherapy) and Therapy Groups are generally focused on the emotional/psychological life and how a person's thoughts and emotions are interacting with their feelings. Both counseling and psychotherapy groups offer opportunities to develop strategies, learn techniques, and acquire skills that benefit well-being.
Individual Hypnotherapy and Hypnotherapy Groups utilize hypnosis to gain deeper insight, facilitate desired change, talk about painful memories, and deal with fears and physical pain. Even though hypnotherapy may seem a little strange, or even farfetched, it has been around for centuries, and is now a well-respected treatment approach for helping a person cope with stress; acute or chronic pain; phobias; addictions, conditions such as post-traumatic stress; and making changes in habits around food, smoking, and others. I utilize Ericksonian hypnosis as a component of hypnotherapy. The person is always in control, and is working on their personal goals.

"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin—real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. As last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.” ~Fr. Alfred D-Souza
